Building upon the basic skills learned in Thai
Massage 1, we will add to our collection of moves for the prone and
supine positions, while learning new techniques for side-lying and seated
positions. We will work more closely with the energy meridians
("sen" lines), incorporating thumb-walking and acupressure
("marma") points. Attention will be given to determining
your client's needs and restrictions, and to tailoring your application to
best address those needs. After Thai Massage 2 you will have a
greater understanding and feel for Thai Massage, along with a vastly
expanded repertoire of movements, allowing you to provide longer, more
comprehensive sessions to your clients.
Note that Thai
Massage 1 or its equivalent
is a prerequisite for taking Thai Massage 2.
Since we will be working on the floor, kindly bring a couple of heavy blankets to class for your comfort and to protect your knees.
Class will be held at the Indiana Therapeutic Massage School, 7780
